The metals

Almost all of the metals used by us are used and therefore have less environmental impact. The only thing we don't buy from different secondhanders or flea markets is the 925 silver to fuse parts together or make the ring a stone.

925 Silver

Sterling silver is an alloy, that is, a compound consisting of two or more elements with metallic properties. 925 sterling silver consists, as the name might suggest, of 92.5% silver. Silver that is 100% tends to be too soft to be used in jewelry. Therefore, it is mixed with copper, which gives it an alloy whose properties are optimal for jewelry making.

830 Silver

835 is the purity mark for European silver, which is 83.5% silver and 16.5% copper. Most often this is used in silver cutlery and there with most of our spoonrings.

Stainless steel

Steel jewelry made of stainless steel does not discolor because the steel does not oxidize. In other words, steel jewelry is very easy to care for and can withstand most things. You can even wear steel jewelry while bathing and showering. However, wearing your steel jewelry in a pool with chlorine as well as in salty seas should be avoided. The metal contains nickel, but so tightly bound in the metal that the faintest can have it without problems.
